Apple will not Use Retina Display in the Low Cost iPhone

As we know Apple is planning to launch low cost iOS smartphone this year to compete with low cost Android smartphones. It was expected that Apple will use Retina Display in this device. Now we came to know that users will not be able to purchase Retina Display enabled low cost iPhone. According to Macrumors, Apple will not use Retina Display in the low cost iOS smartphone. They have received this information from RBC Capital Markets analyst Amit Daryanani, who claims that Apple will launch its low cost smartphone in June or July.

If the report comes true, then you will not be able to use Retina Display enabled low cost iOS smartphone. The new report from the analyst coincides with the previous report of Ming-Chi Kuo, which has claimed that users will be able to purchase the low cost iOS smartphone in July. Amit Daryanani is claiming that Apple will use plastic body in this device to reduce its cost. He is also claiming that the low cost iPhone will come with 4-inch screen. A source has recently claimed that Apple will use snapdragon chip in this smartphone to reduce its price and TSMC will produce this chip. The great thing about this chip is that it will reduce the requirement of separate chips for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as it will come integrated with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If the low cost iOS smartphone comes with snapdragon chip, then Apple does not need to use separate chips for other features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

It is expected that the cupertino company will use Retina Display in this device as they have recently confirmed that they will not approve apps that does not support Retina Display. You should note that its launch date is not officially announced yet. If the prediction comes true, then you will be able to purchase the low cost iOS smartphone in July. The analyst has also claimed that the low cost iOS smartphone will cost around $400.
