Just recently, Apple has released their another new update of their mobile operating software for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. As you know, the updated version naturally brings something new, likewise, this new iOS 4.3.5 fixes a security issue with certificate verification. Actually, the previous iOS 4.3.4 update was released to fix the PDF exploit that was used by JailbreakMe, however, this new iOS 4.3.5 updated fixes a security issue that has nothing to do with the jailbreak.
Well, if you won’t rely on the jailbreak, then, you can go ahead and update the new version, however, if you are on iOS 4.3.3, then, you shouldn’t update to the new iOS 4.3.5, if you want to save your untethered jailbreak.

Impact: An attacker with a privileged network position may capture or modify data in sessions protected by SSL/TLS
Description: A certificate chain validation issue existed in the handling of X.509 certificates. An attacker with a privileged network position may capture or modify data in sessions protected by SSL/TLS. Other attacks involving X.509 certificate validation may also be possible. This issue is addressed through improved validation of X.509 certificate chains.
