The final version of iTunes 10.1 for both Windows and Mac has just been released, which now supports iOS 4.2 on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Well, this software version is however come along with fixing over performance and stability that plagued the previous versions of the iTunes application, but along with that it supports AirPlay as a bonus which allows users to stream Apple TV directly over wireless communications.

iOS 4.2 Compatibility -
iTunes 10.1 adds iOS 4.2 compatibility. Well, you can now run iTunes 10.1 on your iOS 4.2 devices. (The iOS 4.2 final version has not been released yet)
) Ping can now be hidden, or disabled entirely
Ping may be an interesting concept for those who enjoy social networking or finding new music through friends. But for those who dones’t want ping feature on their iTunes, they can now hide or disable it.
Hide Ping: iTunes>Preferences>General>Show and uncheck Ping
Ping Update in Terms of Service
The new agreement for iTunes mentions that iTunes will “send information to Apple about the content you select in your iTunes library” in order to provide you with Ping personal recommendations.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PING. We have changed the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions to provide you notice that if you have opted in to the Ping social network and use the new Ping Sidebar, iTunes will send information to Apple about the content you select in your iTunes library in order to provide you with Ping personal recommendations. By using Ping, you agree to Apple’s use of such information. If you do not want iTunes to send this information to Apple for Ping, you may hide the Ping Sidebar or opt out of Ping.
Ping Adds Twitter Integration
This allows you to automatically Tweet messages from Ping, such as music you like, dislike, review, etc. You can also click on a user’s Ping tweet and have a playable song or album show up on the sidebar on your Twitter page.

AirPlay is an updated feature of iTunes 10.1. AirPlay allows you to stream content between iOS devices as well as, allow users to stream Apple TV directly over wireless communications.
